ST segment elevation
- Begins within minutes to hours of clinical onset
- Initial straightening with loss of j point and ST-T angle
- T-wave broadening
- Upward concavity replaced by convexity
- Elevation can be subtle to extreme [*]
- Transient due to variant (Prinzmetal’s) angina [*]
- Transient due to recurrent ischemia in area of previous infarction
- Transient with subsequent development of inverted T waves with or without Q wave development and/or infarction
- Persistent in area of previous infarction and dyskinesis
