Dr.
DeMarco is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Urology at the University
of Kansas Medical Center and is based primarily at Children’s
Mercy Hospital. Dr. DeMarco received his medical degree from
the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He completed
his General Surgery internship and Urology residency at Indiana
University, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He then completed a two year
fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville,
Tennessee.
Dr. DeMarco is a member of the American Urological Association, Society
for Pediatric Urology, American Association of Pediatric Urologists, and Fellow
of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is active in clinical and basic
science research and has written a number of journal articles in the field of
Urology. He reviews for several urological journals in the field of pediatric
urology and has been active presenting at national and international meetings.
Dr. DeMarco practices pediatric urology exclusively with special interests in
genital reconstruction, surgical treatment of pediatric stone disease, urologic
management of children with spina bifida, hypospadias, and surgical management
of upper urinary tract obstruction.
