On March 3, 2010, Virginia became the 12th state to mandate insurance coverage for telehealth services.
Since 2001, the University of Kansas Center for Telemedicine & Telehealth has worked with the Kansas legislature and health insurance companies to urge adoption of comprehensive telemedicine reimbursement.
