Ryan Spaulding, PhD, is the director of the University of Kansas Center for Telemedicine & Telehealth and oversees all telehealth projects, research activities and daily operations. Dr. Spaulding works with staff members to establish the center's clinical, educational and technological priorities and to extend telemedicine service to communities across Kansas.
Dr. Spaulding is the author or co-author of numerous articles and book chapters on the use of technology to deliver health care, particularly in medically underserved areas. He is a member of the Council on Health Delivery for the Kansas Hospital Association and a member of the advisory board for the Center for Telenursing and Health Informatics of the Texas Woman's University in Houston.
Dr. Spaulding received his doctorate from the University of Kansas and his bachelor's and master's degrees from Central Michigan University. He is a member of the American Telemedicine Association and the National Communication Association.
