Angela Banitt Duncan, PhD

Angela Banitt Duncan, PhD, is a senior research associate with the University of Kansas Center for Telemedicine & Telehealth. Her broad clinical and research interests include preventing chronic disease and promoting health behavior change. She is especially interested in utilizing distance technology to deliver cognitive-behavioral health services and education to underserved and rural areas. She is currently involved with a project that integrates distance education with telehealth technology. This project is supported through a federally funded grant.

Dr. Duncan earned her bachelor's degree from Wisconsin Lutheran College and her master's degree in clinical psychology from the University of Kansas. She completed her internship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She recently earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology, health psychology emphasis, at KU. Her dissertation involved investigating the impact of health-related quality of life on health behavior change and adherence to weight loss treatment.
