Thao Bui, MA is a senior coordinator with the KU Center for Telemedicine and Telehealth (KUCTT) at the University of Kansas Medical Center. As the senior coordinator, Thao focuses on developing an educational DVD about youth depression for school personnel funded by the Healthcare Foundation of Greater Kansas City. Thao was previously a graduate research assistant for KUCTT and continues to be involved in telemental health research projects.
Thao is currently a doctoral student in clinical psychology at the University of Kansas. Under the supervision of telepsychologist, Dr. Eve-Lynn Nelson, Thao is training to provide therapy over videoconferencing. Her dissertation seeks to compare videoconferencing and face-to-face administrations of the Children’s Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (CY-BOCS). She earned her BA from the University of Texas and earned her MA in clinical psychology from the University of Kansas.
