Eve-Lynn Nelson, PhD, is assistant director of research at KU
Center for Telemedicine and Telehealth. As a researcher, Dr.
Nelson has worked with KUCTT since 1999. She has been a Principal Investigator
(PI) and evaluator
on a number of public and private grants related to technology
evaluation. She recently completed a competitive National Institutes of Health (NIH) fellowship
concerning randomized clinical trials in behavioral health.
Her past research has included a feasibility trial of childhood
depression treatment over televideo; a tele-jail study; and
a study of pediatrician perceptions of technology.
As a telepsychologist, Dr. Nelson sees patients over televideo through the urban school district's TeleKidcare® program and through rural sites in Western Kansas.
Dr. Nelson earned her BA from the University
of Missouri-Kansas
City and her PhD in clinical psychology from the University
of Kansas.
