Clinical telemedicine services offered by KUCTT connect patients and health practitioners throughout the state of Kansas. Many hospitals and clinics around the state are equipped with video conferencing systems that allow them to collaborate with KUCTT to provide clinical consults. Physicians and patients can consult with other physicians or health care professionals who specialize in an area of need.

KUCTT also facilitates telemedicine pediatric echocardiograms (echo) with a hospital in Kansas. The remote site transmits the echocardiogram over the video conferencing system; the KUMC provider can view it live or record it to be read at later time.

The Office for the Advancement of Telehealth (OAT) Grant Project is focused on improving health care access to Kansas residents by offering a variety of consultation clinics with specialists at KUMC over an Interactive Televideo System (ITV).
