Community Education

Community education in actionPatient Education Programs are presentations designed for the general public (patients and their families) and have been very well received with some sites experiencing "standing room only" participation. These free programs allow participants throughout the state to access and interact with specialists located at KUMC. Many who participate state that they would not receive information they obtain from these programs from any other source. To date, series have been offered on Weight Management, Smoking Cessation, Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Childhood Depression, and an Alzheimer's Caregivers Workshop.

Programs are continually being developed. We welcome any and all suggestions.
