Telecommunications and Network Services

Telecommunications provides a wide range of communication services that are critical to the University's mission as a leader in the areas of research, education and patient care. Telecommunications maintains the telephone and network infrastructure on campus and provides consultation, design and implementation services for all departments on campus with regard to their communication needs.

Telecommunications maintains a 15,000 port Avaya S8710 telephone system as well as 4,000 AUDIX voicemail boxes and over 9,500 telephones. Telecommunications also manages all of the physical wiring and fiber optic cable throughout the campus. Each year Telecommunications assists in many renovation projects and departmental moves.
