Born in Chicago, Dr. McLean received his medical degree from
the University of Chicago; and is board certified in Critical Care
Medicine, Thoracic and General Surgery.
He received his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas
City; and has been admitted to the Bar in Kansas and Illinois.
Dr. McLean, who is a clinical assistant professor of surgery
for the University of Kansas and the author of more than 100
publications, is on staff at the Eastern Kansas VA Health Care
System, Leavenworth KS, where he instructs medical students and
surgery residents from the University of Kansas. In his teaching
Dr. McLean stresses how the law impacts
medicine, medical economics, and the principle that patients
should be
treated the way "you would want your parents to be treated."
In his free time Dr. McLean enjoys traveling the world and spending
time with his most excellent sons.
