Dr. Delcore received his medical and surgical training at the University of Kansas Medical Center where he has been a member of the surgical faculty since he completed training.  His clinical, academic and research areas of specific interest and expertise include the surgical management of both benign and malignant neoplasms of the endocrine and exocrine pancreas, as well as other pancreaticobiliary and hepatic surgical diseases and conditions.  He is one of the two surgeons that brought Liver Transplants to the University and remained an active transplant surgeon for fifteen years.  At the end of that time, he chose to devote his fulltime efforts to the surgical treatment of pancreatic disorders.  He has previously served as the Director of Medical Education for the Department of Surgery and General Surgery Residency Program Director.  Currently, Dr. Delcore is the Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery.
