Following the convention in Indianapolis, Delta Chapter hosted its 70th anniversary celebration on November 15, 2001, in the atrium of the School of Nursing. This was a wonderful event that included tasty hors d’oeuvres, an informative timeline of chapter activities over the decades, opportunities for conversation and networking, and viewing of the new Founders Award and Key Award. Everyone then moved into the auditorium to hear a brief overview about Delta’s history – in honor of the 70 years since its original chartering – and an update on current and future chapter activities. The meeting was then followed by the Fall program. Jan Davidson spoke about nurse practitioner education and Kathy Fletcher informed us about her work in web-based continuing education. Both talks provided examples of the high quality of scholarship in which our members are engaged.
