The University of Kansas School of Nursing has created this page to provide students, faculty, staff and families of students the most current information about the 2009 influenza season, which includes seasonal flu and H1N1 flu.
NEW INFORMATION!
November 9, 2009
We are continuing to give H1N1 vaccine for students who are doing clinicals and seasonal flu vaccine to all students during walk-in immunization clinics (Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 am to 1 pm). As far as H1N1 vaccine, we continue to have mostly nasal spray vaccine. The nasal spray contains a live, attenuated virus. We do have a few doses of pre-filled, single vial syringes for pregnant students only. We will continue to get vaccine as it becomes available. As far as Seasonal flu vaccine, we have limited doses left at this point. Due to limited availability we will not be getting any further vaccine.
