As an assistant professor at the KU School of Nursing, Rojjanasrirat leads graduate level courses, Quantitative Research Methods in Nursing and Theoretical Foundations in Nursing and Scientific Inquiry.

Rojjanasrirat began her nursing career in 1982 as a nurse midwife at the Maternal and Child Health Center in Thailand. From there she became a staff nurse at Saint Joseph Health Center in Kansas City, MO, then headed back to Thailand's Christian College as a clinical instructor. In 1996 Rojjanasrirat became a research assistant at the School of Nursing and the following year she was a research associate. In 2001 she became assistant professor.

Rojjanasrirat's strong background in maternal and child health nursing has led her to conduct research focusing on clinical factors promoting breastfeeding success in employed women. Her major interests include testing a nursing intervention to determine the breastfeeding outcome in a variety of work places among women of different cultures, minorities and low-income women.

In April 2002 The Faculty Research Office at the University of Missouri-Kansas City awarded Rojjanasrirat a grant for her proposal entitled, "Perception and Attitude Toward Breastfeeding and Employment Among Low-Income Women." The study, in progress, will provide preliminary information essential for the design of an intervention plan to meet the needs of low-income working mothers who choose to breastfeed.
