An alumni of KU School of Nursing's baccalaureate program, Jo Ellen Greischar-Billiard has been on faculty since 1990 and has taught in a variety of clinical as well as lecture courses. She is currently serving on the Continuing Education Committee for the School of Nursing. Her past positions have been in newborn nursery, pediatrics, medical-surgical nursing, Surgical/Trauma Intensive Care Unit, and as a Nurse Educator.
Prior to coming to KU School of Nursing, Greischar-Billiard was Director of Nursing Staff Development at a hospital in New York. She received her Masters of Science in Medical-Surgical Nursing/Teaching from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. Her special areas of interest are ‘Work Satisfaction’ especially of new graduates, and of Patient Education.
