Following her keen interests in RN workforce issues and job satisfaction, Diane Boyle, RN, PhD is Co-investigator of the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI®). NDNQI is a repository for longitudinal data from over 1100 acute care hospitals across the United States on nurse staffing, nurse turnover, and nursing sensitive patient outcome indicators. Specifically, Dr. Boyle has responsibility for the annual RN Job Satisfaction survey from nurses employed in NDNQI hospitals.
Dr. Boyle teaches measurement, program evaluation, research, and leadership courses in the masters and doctoral programs. She has taught a number of classes in the KU Medical Center’s Virtual Classroom. She is an active member of AcademyHealth, Midwest Nursing Research Society, American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, American Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International.
