Master of Science (MS) Degree Requirements

The degree requirements for the MS portion of the RN to MS program are the same as for the regular master's degree requirements.

For the RN to MS program, BMTR 811 (Statistics), NRSG 755 (Health Care Professionalism), and NRSG 754 (Nursing Research), are graduate-level courses that will count toward graduation in the BSN portion of the program. This means that these courses will not transfer as graduate credit should you decide to pursue a different master's degree program, nor will they count toward graduation in the MS portion of this program. Upon successful completion of these courses, you will be exempted from these course requirements at the graduate level in the KU Master of Science in Nursing program.

Full admission to the graduate program is contingent upon earning B's or better in all 700 and 800-level courses and maintaining a cumulative B average in overall course work. [Admission to the RN to MS program at the BSN level does not guarantee full admission to the MS portion of the program.]
