Admission to the Master's Degree Portion of the RN-to-MS Degree

Students submit an application to the graduate program during the semester before they anticipate beginning the MS portion of the program. The criteria for admission as a degree-seeking graduate student includes:

  1. Successful completion of the BSN program (B or better in all courses designated NRSG and BMTR);
  2. License to practice as a registered nurse in one state of the USA;
  3. Cumulative grade point average of B or better in all undergraduate and graduate courses; and
  4. Acceptable achievement on the Graduate Record Exam. Contact the School of Nursing Office of Student Affairs for the GRE booklet. Indicate on the GRE application form that original scores should be sent to the University of Kansas School of Nursing.
