DNP Entry Options
For the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 academic years the KU School
of Nursing DNP program is a post-master's-only program.
Admission Criteria
(Post-Master's DNP Program)
- Completion of a master's degree in nursing or nurse anesthesia from a nationally
accredited program.
- Preference is given to those who earned a 3.25 GPA in the
master's program; minimum GPA earned in the master's program
to be considered is 3.0.
- Potential for leadership and application of scholarship in
nursing.
- Potential to provide expert advanced clinical care.
- In the case of international students, TOEFL or IELTS scores
will be considered.
Admission Criteria
(Post-Baccalaureate DNP Program, available beginning fall 2010)
- Completion of a BSN from a nationally accredited program.
- Preference is given to those who have a 3.5 GPA in the BSN
program; minimum GPA earned in the BSN program to be considered
is 3.0.
- Potential for leadership and application of scholarship in
nursing.
- Potential to provide expert advanced clinical care.
- In the case of international students, TOEFL or IELTS scores
will be considered.
