Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

 

DNP Entry Options

Admission Criteria, post-MS to DNP
(Admission deadline: March 1 annually for Fall)

  1. Completion of a master's degree in nursing or nurse anesthesia from a nationally accredited program.
  2. Preference is given to those who earned a 3.25 GPA in the master's program; minimum GPA earned in the master's program to be considered is 3.0.
  3. Potential for leadership and application of scholarship in nursing.
  4. Potential to provide expert advanced clinical care or expert service in functional area. Nurse practitioner, nurse-midwife and nurse anesthesia tracks require national certification, as appropiate to track; for all other tracks, national certification is preferred.
  5. In the case of international students, TOEFL or IELTS scores will be considered.

(Admission deadline: April 1 annually for Fall; September 1 annually for Spring)

  1. Completion of a BSN from a nationally accredited program.
  2. Preference is given to those who have a 3.5 GPA in the BSN program; minimum GPA earned in the BSN program to be considered is 3.0.
  3. Potential for leadership and application of scholarship in nursing.
  4. Potential to provide expert advanced clinical care.
  5. In the case of international students, TOEFL or IELTS scores will be considered.
