Computer Competency & PDA Requirements
COMPUTER COMPETENCY
Students entering all programs of study at the University of Kansas Medical Center are expected to have basic skills in using a computer. These skills include using a keyboard and mouse, preparing simple documents, sending and receiving electronic mail, and using the World Wide Web. Community colleges often offer this type of training in short courses.
PDA REQUIREMENT
All newly admitted undergraduate nursing students will be required to purchase a Pocket PC that meets mandatory specifications and software. You will receive information regarding the mandatory specifications and the specific software for use in the clinical course when enrolling in the program.
