Nancy Dunton came to KU in 2001 to assume the position of Associate Research
Professor in the School of Nursing. In this position, Dunton is the principle
investigator on several research projects in the areas of health services and
social services. She is also involved in the graduate student thesis and dissertation
committees.
A multi-talented individual, Dunton not only is an associate researcher for
the School of Nursing, she is also an associate research professor for the
Department of Health Policy and Management in the KU School of Medicine.
The last 25 years, Dunton has spent researching topics in the health and social
services. She has studied everything from KIDS COUNT in New York State to Barriers to Self Sufficiency Among Welfare Recipients.
Dunton is a member of the Kansas City Metro Outlook Technical Advisory Panel,
Mid American Regional Council. She is also actively involved in various professional
organizations.
As well as being a mentor to students and peers, Dunton has written a number
of project reports and policy papers. She has also given a multitude of presentations.
