Sandra Bergquist-Beringer, PhD, RN, CWCN

Associate Professor

On faculty since 1999, Dr. Bergquist-Beringer's program of research focuses on the assessment, prediction and prevention of pressure ulcers in acute and home health care. Her knowledge of physiological mechanisms and measures associated with aging and epidemiology form the basis for her research focus. She currently teaches graduate-level pathophysiology and quantitative research applications. Past KU teaching activities included theories for practice and research, adult/gerontological core content, undergraduate health assessment and clinical complex care.
