Special Student Non-Degree Admission
Students unable to meet the School of Nursing deadlines for the regular admission process may enroll in specific classes through non-degree admission. Non-degree admission is for the specific course only, not admission to the master's program. Enrollment is allowed on a space available basis after all degree-seeking students are accommodated.
The following materials are required for non-degree admission:
- Application to Graduate Studies
- $60 application fee. Please send check or money order
- Official transcript of all college coursework
- Instructor Permission form. The student is responsible for contacting the instructor(s) and obtaining the appropriate signatures.
- Applicants should have a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75. If the GPA is below 2.75, it is unlikely the admission will be approved. Applicants with low GPAs should take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and apply to be considered for degree status.
Non-degree application deadlines are July 15 for fall semester, December 1 for spring semester, and May 1 for summer session. However, we are usually able to accommodate late non-degree applications until one week prior to the first day of classes each semester.
