The course presents microbial physiology and microbial genetics with emphasis on the molecular biology of microorganisms; Immunology with emphasis on the defense mechanism, immune regulation and immunogenetics and selected coverage of etiologic agents of infection in bacteriology, parasitology, mycology, and virology. Lectures, small group conferences and tutorials. (Same as MICR 850.) Prerequisite: ATMY 820, cell and tissue biology, BIOC 800, and PHYS 800.
