The Evolving Threat

Over the last few years, methods for executing Internet attacks have been quietly evolving.  The shift has remained subtle, but enterprises that ignore newer attack methods may experience significant losses.  Hacker's motivation for launching attacks has changed.  Today's attacks are driven by profit, not glory and fame.  Organizations need to examine their existing safeguards, and see what new evolving threats may exist and what they need to do to protect their business.

Surfing the internet these days can be like traversing a land mine. Threats like adware, spyware, and phishing lurk behind seemingly innocent web sites. But McAfee is now proving a free tool called SiteAdvisor that can help you navigate the web safely and securely.  KUMC will be installing this on all PCs in the near future, but you can download this for home use also!
