2007 Computer Security Awareness Month

Contest Information

Throughout the month of October, there will be different online activities posted here that will help you learn about various security topics such as identity theft, phishing, and home computer security.  Don't worry - they're both fun and informative activities like crossword puzzles and word match.

We will be holding a raffle at the end of each week for great prizes, and you will receive an entry for each activity you complete.   Good luck - you may even win the grand prize!

  • Each weekly contest will be posted at 8:00 a.m. on Monday and end at 5:00 p.m. on Friday each week. Check the calendar for contest dates.
  • Completed submissions must be emailed to Information Security (kumc-security@kumc.edu) by 5:00 p.m. on Friday of the week for which the activity is posted.  Any submission received after that time will not be eligible for that week's prize drawing, but will be entered in the drawing for the grand prize on October 31, 2007.

  • All complete submissions with correct answers will be entered into a random drawing for that activity's prize.
  • The winning entry for each activity's prize will be drawn from a pool consisting of that activity's completed submissions and entries for attendees of that week's presentations.
  • All non-winning entries for each activity will be entered into the drawing for the grand prize entry on October 31, 2007.
  • Winners will be notified by email and will have their names posted on this website during the month of October.
  • All decisions are final.
