This community is located in Northeast Kansas, within driving distance of Topeka and Kansas City. Favorite past-times are raising and riding horses, lake activities, hunting, fishing, sports, theater, and shopping. Children's sports are very popular and plentiful as well. There is a large free Independence Day celebration held here as well. It lasts four days and includes a water show, large parade, music and food in the park, kids activities, and more.
