The University of Kansas Medical Center participates in annual reporting of conflicts of interest in order to comply with Federal regulations and Kansas Board of Regents' policy and to ensure the integrity of our research program.

In addition to reporting upon employment, annual reporting is required of

KUMC faculty and unclassified staff
KUPI employees and KUMC students or residents participating in KUMC research

Principal Investigators with KUMC appointments must ensure that all staff (including KUPI, KUHA or VA employees), students and residents participating in their research

The Office of Compliance distributes forms and instructions through broadcast email each year. An ad hoc report should also be completed if circumstances have changed since last annual report and a potential conflict has developed.

Conflict of interest reporting is confidential and will be handled as such.
