The University of Kansas Medical Center participates in annual

regulations and Kansas Board of Regents' policy and to ensure the
integrity of our research program. KUMC encourages
innovation by faculty and staff to fulfill our mission of delivering
new knowledge and biotechnologies for public benefit. Conflict
of interest oversight contributes to our unquestioned commitment
to scientific objectivity and to the safety of our research volunteers
as we develop potentially profitable discoveries.
The committee strives to develop management plans for perceived conflicts
of interest. By so doing, research can continue while subject safety and
data integrity are ensured.
