KU Medical Center provides remote access service for faculty, staff, and students. The cost for this service is $15 per month for local access. Make sure your PC or Macintosh meets the current minimum computer hardware as outlined in KUMC Desktop Computer Standards Policy.

Effective July 1, 2004 the rate for a KUMC dial-up account will be increasing to $15.00 per month (no usage charge). This increase is required as the KUMC On-Line program is funded primarily through user fees and the number of users declined significantly during FY2004.

Faculty and staff will pay by payroll deduction or departmental billing if approved by the department as a legitimate business need. The departmental billing will be part of the Telecommunications monthly telephone bill. Students will be charged $15 per month on a 6-month calendar basis and will pay by credit card, check, or money order (no cash). Students wanting continuous service will need to sign up again prior to January 1, at which time they will be billed for 6 months ($90) of service through June of the next calendar year.
