Audio Visual Services was formed in 1945 and has been located in Sudler Hall since it's creation. The originating department consisted of a photo lab, as well as video, and medical illustration.

To this day Photo Services has provided faculty, and staff with quality images used to facilitate research, education, and public relations.

Elissa Monroe
Supervisor

Elissa graduated from the University of Kansas in 1982, majoring in Graphic Design. Her photographic career began with working in commercial photography. She joined the Kansas University Medical Center in 1989, becoming supervisor in 1992. "I enjoy all aspects of my job and the people that I come in contact with."
