Pharmacy Practice Management
Masters Residency
The University of Kansas Hospital offers a two-year residency in
Pharmacy Practice Management centered on the principles of leadership
and administration. The program combines academic studies with pharmacy
practice management residency training. The didactic and practical
training experience prepares pharmacists for practice in an evolving
health care environment. The residency is ASHP accredited and is offered
at The University of Kansas Hospital, an academic teaching hospital
located in Kansas City, Kansas.
Pharmacy Practice Management
The Pharmacy Practice Management Residency aims to develop and enhance
the pharmaceutical knowledge and leadership skills of the resident
through mentored training and application. Mentoring sessions led by
Harold N. Godwin, program founder and Harvey A.K. Whitney award
recipient, are provided to assist with career growth and development.
Experiential rotation schedules are individually designed to meet the
needs and interests of each resident. In addition, residents receive
individualized attention in monthly meetings with the program director
and coordinator that focus primarily on residency activities, including
planning and goal setting for rotations and projects. The Pharmacy
