Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) (Please note we are in the process of a name change and it may be listed with the former department title of Counseling and Health Education in the HR job description)
$50,000 - $65,000
The primary role of this position is to provide individual, couples and group psychotherapy, consultation, crisis evaluation and services, supervision of interns, and outreach related to CAPS.
A doctorate in psychology from an accredited college or university, which includes one year of supervised internship experience in professional psychology; or licensure as a psychologist by the State of Florida in accordance with Chapter 490, F.S.
Licensed in the state of Florida as a psychologist within 18 months; Demonstrated record of successful performance in and commitment to the practice of psychotherapy with both individuals and groups; Ability and interest in providing clinical supervision and training; Ability and interest in providing outreach and psycho-educational workshops; Ability and interest in providing clinical services to culturally diverse groups including ethnic minorities. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a warm, caring, respectful and non-judgmental manner; Skilled collaborator to work as part of a team with students, colleagues, and other professionals/administrators.
Experience working in a University Counseling Center; Experience initiating and developing outreach programs for both the general student body and targeted underserved groups; Demonstrated commitment and competency in working with ethnic minority students; Demonstrated commitment and competency in working with men’s issues.
