Staff therapist-Referral Coordinator

The Towson University Counseling Center seeks a part-time therapist to serve as the Centerís Referral Coordinator. The Referral Coordinator will be responsible for further developing our Referral system including following and supporting students who have been referred off campus for psychological treatment. This therapist will also provide psychological and outreach services to TU students.
This position will be responsible for development, coordination, administration, and evaluation of a Referral program at the Counseling Center. The Referral Coordinator will develop and maintain relationships with providers in the community and assist Counseling Center providers with more complicated referrals. This position will also be involved in additional activities aimed at supporting the Centerís Clinical Services program. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborating with on and off campus departments to develop outreach programs for the campus, training staff and interns/externs, providing individual and group therapy to students, and serving on University committees where appropriate.
Applicants should be licensed or license-eligible in Maryland and university counseling center experience is preferred (or equivalent setting). Licensed psychologist applicants are desired but committee will consider Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Licensed Professional Counselors. Extended hours may be required for outreach, campus events, or emergency situations. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate an understanding and commitment to diversity issues, program development and evaluation, and who possess excellent communication skills. A Criminal Background Investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment.
