California State Polytechnic University, Pomona is seeking a committed Student Services leader to oversee a variety of medical and mental health services, as well as education, and prevention services. The successful candidate will fill the position of Executive Director, Student Health & Counseling Services.
Under the general direction of the Associate Vice President for Student Services in the Student Affairs Division, the Executive Director provides overall management, leadership and program direction of the department; is responsible for the assessment of student health and counseling needs; the development of programs and policies to maintain a fully accredited program; ensuring quality and culturally competent services; the management of a complex budget of approximately $5 million; the supervision of staff consisting of approximately 55 individuals in clinical services, psychological/mental health counseling, nursing, ancillary services, health promotion, administrative services and graduate level interns; the maintenance and operation of facilities; ensuring compliance with policy, legal, ethical, regulatory and licensing requirements; facilitating the work of the Student Health Advisory Committee, and representing the department on division, campus and system wide committees and in regional and professional organizations.
Candidates must possess a master’s degree or doctorate in health care administration, public health, medicine, counseling, psychology, educational administration, health administration or a related field AND five (5) years of professional leadership and management experience in a comparable health, counseling services, or related university program.
