Position Description
Psychologists at ASU Counseling Services provide assessment, crisis intervention; time limited counseling, as well as clinical consultation daytime and after hours crisis response in a very large, diverse, and dynamic university environment. In addition, psychologists provide training and supervision within multiple training programs, including an APPIC member postdoctoral program.
ASU CS is committed to supporting ASU students inmeeting their educaitonal goals.



Minimum Qualifications
Provides individual, couples, and group counseling services in a time-limited service delivery model.
Provides emergency/after hours and on-call services as assigned.
Provides outreach programming to the campus community.
Serves as a liaison to university departments.
Provides consultation services to faculty, staff, and university departments.
Trains and supervises pre-doctoral interns, postdoctoral residents, practicum students and/or paraprofessional trainees.
Participates in agency program evaluation and research.
Performs additional professional service based on individual skill and interests consistent with agency need.
Engages in professional development activities to maintain licensure/certification.
Primary assignment will be at one ASU Campus; may have assignments at any of the four ASU campuses.

DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. After hours and weekend work required.




Desired Qualifications
Licensed psychologist
Ability to conduct clinical work in English and Spanish
Experience providing services from a positive psychology/wellness psychology orientation
Experience contributing to provision of consultation services to university housing organizations
Experience contributing to provision of clinical and consultation services to student athletes and intercollegiate athletics organizations
