This is a full-time, 12 month position as a psychologist/counselor at the Counseling and Testing Service. Key responsibilities include provision of individual, couple, and group counseling; consultation and outreach with students, staff, and faculty; development and implementation of education and prevention programs; provision of day-time emergency and triage services; supervision of Master’s and Doctoral practicum/intern students; service on Division and University committees; and academic teaching when appropriate.
Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA accredited program or in a related field from an accredited program (e.g. Counselor Education) to be completed by the time of employment. Multicultural commitment/advocacy. Licensed or license eligible in Idaho. Strong clinical skills and commitment to clinical work. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Experience in consultation and evidence of a collaborative decisions-making style.
Supervised experience in a University Counseling Center. Grant writing experience. Outreach and group counseling experience. Consultation experience with staff/faculty. Mental health crisis management and intervention skills. Experience supervising trainees.
