Clinical Office Manager
Commensurate with experience
The Department of Psychological Services is accepting applications for the position of Clinical Office Manager. This individual is responsible for the assessment of students seeking standard or crisis counseling appointments, and provides initial triage of students in crisis. The Clinical Office Manager also administers and manages the program and staffing support for Psychological Services. This role ensures that administrative operations run efficiently and in a quality customer service manner so as to meet the needs of students and providers of Psychological Services, and other members of the university community. Responsibilities also include management of the appointment system, supervision of the medical record system, management of the internal Workday system, and customer relations. This is a full time 11 month position.
-Master’s in Social Work (MSW), Registered Nurse (RN), Master’s in Nursing (MSN), with mental health experience; or other licensed mental health professional; and 3 years post degree experience (holding a license in another state and eligibility for licensure in RI will also meet this requirement);
-3 to 5 years of managerial / administrative experience in a health care setting including support staff supervision;
-Demonstrated ability to handle emotionally distraught students in a supportive and confident manner and ability to triage appropriately, while maintaining confidentiality;
Demonstrated strengths in attention to detail and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task;
Effective written and verbal communication skills;
-Experience using Excel and databases.
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively with persons from diverse cultural backgrounds.
