Staff Therapist/Psychological Testing Specialist
Counseling and Psychological Services
Bring generalist clinical skills and experience, along with expertise in psychological testing. Serve on the Testing Team, interviewing and testing Purdue students referred for learning disabilities, ADHD or developmental disorder psychological testing: interpreting test results, writing reports, and providing feedback to students. Responsible for follow-through with forwarding reports and letters to designated individuals or agencies. Provide supervision to therapists in training, as needed, along with providing therapy to students (via various modalities). Additionally, attend pertinent staff and team meetings; participate in staff planning and coordination meetings, as well as professional development activities and in-service presentations. Assist, as needed, in outreach and consultation, teaching, administrative, research and related activities.
Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA approved program.
Must be certified or licensed (eligible) in the state of Indiana.
One year of general therapy experience with young adults, along with experience providing psychological testing for LD/ADHD and developmental disorders. Pre-doctoral internship may count as one year.
Excellent skills as a clinician (assessment, diagnostic, psychological testing and intervention skills), including facility making decisions relating to urgency of patient issues.
Understanding of and adherence to professional ethics and laws are mandatory.

Good communication skills (oral, written).
Planning, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
Excellent customer service skills and professionalism in dealing with students, staff colleagues, faculty and other members of the University community.
Ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce at all levels.
Must possess a learning orientation to changing technology impacting psychological and therapy services.
Personal computer and related software skills necessary.
Experience providing mental health services to the college/university population.
