Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine
The Psychologist reports directly to the Director of the Counseling Center and the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of direct clinical services to RUSVM students which include individual, group and relationship counseling, and crisis intervention. The Staff Psychologist is also responsible for the development and delivery of outreach/programming activities, under the supervision of the Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide individual, relationship and group counseling services to RUSVM students (65% of time).
Develop and deliver outreach programming activities on campus:
o Stress management
o Study skills
o Suicide prevention
Provide clinical oversight of Counseling Center in the absence of the Director
Provide secondary clinical supervision to postdoctoral fellows through group supervision
Assist in annual recruitment of postdoctoral fellows and in their orientation to campus
Provide consultation/training to faculty and staff, as directed
Engage in active case management, as needed
Develop psychoeducational materials
Assume responsibility for development and management of Counseling Center technology:
o Portal development
Adhere to the ethical and legal standards of professional practice and behavior relevant to field of training and licensure
Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and campus community
Other duties as assigned by the Director

Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology.
U.S.licensure within 6 months of employment.
Previous experience in a university counseling center is preferred.
Strong clinical skills.
Multicultural competence and interest/expertise in outreach and preventative programming required.
