Position Description
The Student Health and Wellness Center at Illinois Institute of Technology invites applications for a Staff Psychologist / Training Coordinator. Primary responsibilities include providing direct clinical services, including intake assessments, crisis/triage assessments, referrals, and individual and group psychotherapy; supervising trainees; and participating in overall mission of promoting healthy psychological development for IIT students.

This position has a special emphasis on coordinating our training program for 6 graduate student externs with mentoring and support from the Clinical Coordinator. This includes planning weekly didactic seminars, managing trainees’ schedules, communicating with the training departments of extern graduate programs, planning extern orientation, and coordinating supervision.

This position may involve weekend and evening duties including carrying an on-call pager that is rotated among staff.




Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology or closely related field from an APA accredited program, and eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in the State of Illinois.

Candidates must have completed their year of post-doctoral hours prior to beginning this position.


Desired Qualifications
Two to five years post doctorate clinical experience is preferred. We welcome applicants who are strong generalists with experience with common presenting concerns of college students, and who have experience in supervision and coordination of training activities. Experience in working with international students is preferred.
