Position Description
The Counseling Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS), and provides short-term psychological services, outreach, and crisis intervention for enrolled students.


•Provide individual assessment and short-term counseling to students
•Provide consultation
•Develop and present outreach and educational programming
•Provide crisis intervention
•Provide clinical supervision to graduate trainees
•Participate in service to the department, university, and/or community
•Publish and/or present scholarly material

Minimum Qualifications
•Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or counseling psychology or closely related field from an APA accredited program or equivalent thereof completed by September 12, 2014.
•Must be a Licensed Psychologist (or eligible for licensure as a Psychologist) in the state of Minnesota
•Experience providing short-term personal counseling, individual assessment, crisis intervention, consultation, and outreach in a university or college counseling center.
•Experience as a generalist with a demonstrated ability to work with the wide range of presenting problems typically encountered in university mental health.

•Demonstrated ability to work with underrepresented populations
•Demonstrated ability to give professional presentations
•Evidence of potential for scholarly publications
