Position Description
Full-time, twelve month position with anticipated June 10, 2014 start date.

Provide diagnostic psychological assessment proficiency in providing multi-modal (individual, couples, and group short term psychotherapy, mental health consultation, supervision of graduate trainees, crisis assessment/intervention, and psycho-educational seminars to a culturally diverse student population. Must also demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty and staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Required: Position requires a Doctoral degree in Counseling/Clinical Psychology from an APA Accredited program licensed/license eligible in Virginia within one year. (Will consider applicants with degree conferred by May 2014.) Prior experience working in college/university counseling.

Desired Qualifications
Preferred: Experience in an IACS accredited Counseling Center.

Region Description

It is close to nearby museums, sporting and entertainment venues, historical attractions, as well as the Virginia Beach ocean front. Additionally, Washington, DC and the beaches of the North Carolina Outer Banks are relatively short drives from Norfolk.
