Counseling and Psychological Services
This positionís initial duties will include providing clinical services to students including intake, ongoing counseling/psychotherapy, case management, walk-in assessment/triage, group therapy, and crisis intervention; participating in training activities for Masterís and Doctoral level trainees; providing consultation and outreach to colleagues, students, faculty, staff, and parents regarding student problems in order to coordinate support, success, and well-being of students and community; as well as other duties.
Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA
accredited program, which includes one (1) year of supervised internship experience in professional psychology; active/clearlicense as psychologist in Florida or eligible to be licensed under FS 490 within 12 months of hire. Experience providing short-term individual and group therapy, emergency assessments and crisis intervention.
Florida licensed Psychologist with two (2) or more years
post-graduation experience. APA-approved internship. One (1)year of full time (or equivalent) experience in a college counseling center at doctoral internship level or above. Experience applying college student development theory. Experience working with a full range of mental health concerns including anxiety and depression, substance abuse, personality disorders, eating disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and
Experience providing Learning Disability/ADHD screening,
psychological testing/evaluation, report writing, and clinical service. Experience providing multiculturally-competent counseling and outreach with underserved or minority populations. Service program management (e.g. on call or Help Line service, suicide prevention program, DBT program management, website and social media) experience. Experience with faculty, staff, and student group consultation, liaison functions, program evaluation, quality assurance, and research.
Experience ethically and professionally using social media to help promote Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) programs and initiatives.
Bilingual (English/Spanish)a plus.
