The University of South Carolina Student Health Services Counseling & Human Development Center is currently accepting applications for its Postdoctoral Fellowship in psychology. The individual in this position provides advanced psychotherapeutic and counseling services to members of the university community in a multi-disciplinary and supportive counseling center.
The individual in this position is provided with an office located in the Counseling & Human Development Center, and clinical supervision is provided by a licensed staff psychologist.
The position entails carrying a clinical caseload in The Counseling and Human Development Center as well as providing mental health consultation, outreach and educational programming to the USC Campus Community. This position responds to campus-related crises with support from members of the CHDC and provides after-hours consultation to the USC Campus Community.
The individual in this position is provided with on-campus housing in a two-bedroom, brick townhouse with hardwood floors and a small yard. Housing includes utilities (electricity, water, waste disposal, and telephone), and small pets are allowed.
This position is organizationally located under the administration of the Student Health Services Counseling and Human Development Center with administrative input from the Director of Residence Life.
Salary & Benefits
$27,250 Minimum Annual Salary, plus benefits, plus housing.

The position requires a completed Ph.D. or Psy.D. in counseling or clinical psychology from an APA accredited program, which included a completed Doctoral Internship. The incumbent must reside in provided on-campus housing. Successful candidates will demonstrate characteristics that include being self motivated, completely reliable, a strong team player capable of working within a multidisciplinary group, and a demonstrated history of showing initiative and leadership. Candidates should have strong clinical and crisis management skills along with strong presentation, public speaking, and communication skills.
