Director of Counseling and Psychological Services
Agnes Scott College
The Director provides leadership, vision, and strategic direction of mental health services on campus. Responsible for managing the delivery of all mental health services provided by CAPS including direct counseling services; crisis intervention; consultation to faculty, staff, parents, and external providers regarding student care; and outreach activities. Stays abreast of changes and best practices in college mental health. Develops and maintains written policies and procedures that reflect these practices. The Director advises the college community in current and emerging college mental health issues and advocates for appropriate budgetary and staffing resources. Supervises 2.5 FTE Licensed Mental Health providers, including Director of Practicum training. Ensures the development of culturally effective programs and services for a highly diverse student body.
APA- approved doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology with 5 years of post-license experience required.
Previous college or university counseling center clinical and and administrative experience required.
