Position Description
The Office of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) is pleased to announce an opening for a staff psychologist. Psychologists at IUPUI CAPS provide direct clinical service to IUPUI students, contribute to clinical training, and serve the department, division, and university through consultation and participation on committees. The primary role of direct clinical service includes group, individual, and relationship counseling; psychoeducational evaluation and testing; clinical assessment and treatment planning; and, crisis intervention. Contributions to clinical training may include didactic presentations, sessions observations, and clinical supervision of Master’s and Doctoral level graduate students in training. Additional service to the campus community will include training and participation in crisis response. All staff contribute to the strategic planning of the Department.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited program is required.
2. Completion of clinical practicum placements, internship, and at least two years of post-degree clinical service.
3. At least one year of post-degree experience with a primary focuse on counseling or therapeutic interventions with individual clients.
4. Licensed, or eligible for immediate licensure and independent practice in the State of Indiana.
5. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals in terms of identity and clinical presentation.
6. Well-developed skills in therapy, assessment, and written and oral communication.

Desired Qualifications
• Experience in a college counseling center is strongly preferred.
