Minimum Qualifications
-Masters or Doctoral level Clinical/Counseling Degree (e.g. MSW, MFT, Psy.D. Ph.D.)
-Licensed in California, or if licensed outside of California, must obtain a California license within 6 months from date of hire.
-Experience working with individuals from diverse social, cultural or socio-cultural backgrounds.
-Experience treating diverse clients using short-term models of individual psychotherapy/counseling.
-Experience assessing and intervening when individuals present in crisis.
-Experience establishing professional work relationships.
-Experience outreaching to diverse groups.
-Experience developing, implementing programs of a psychological nature.


Desired Qualifications
-Experience working in a university counseling service with strong student service orientation.
-Experience working with historically underrepresented or under-served student communities at a major research university.
-Knowledge of ethical, legal and university standards and regulations.
-Ability to conduct program evaluation, analyze results and share findings.

Region Description
Davis is located in the northern portion of the Central Valley in Northern California, 72 miles northeast of San Francisco and 11 miles west of Sacrament. According to estimates published by the UC Census Bureau, the city had a total population of 65,622 in 2010 (60,308 in 2000), neither of which includes the on-campus population of UC Davis, which was 5,786 people according to the 2010 United States Census while the "total student enrollment" is listed as 32,290 by the UC Davis website.
