Competitive, based on qualifications and experience
The staff psychologist/counselor provides short-term (< 15 sessions annually) individual, couples, and group counseling, conducts psychological assessments, provides outreach and training to students, faculty, and staff, conducts interventions with students who violate the College’s alcohol policy, and participates in after-hours crisis intervention. Staff members are expected to use the Partners for Change Outcome Management System (PCOMS) to gather continuous feedback about client outcomes and to maintain electronic records through the Titanium Schedule system.
Master’s in clinical or counseling psychology or related field (e.g., MSW, LPC, etc). Must be licensed or licensed eligible in the state of PA.
The ideal candidate will have completed a Ph.D., Psy.D, or DSW in counseling or clinical psychology or social work from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, completed an internship or have previous work experience in a college or university counseling center, demonstrated a commitment to multi-culturally competent practice, and be dedicated to ongoing professional development and to working collaboratively with colleagues in and out of the Center.
